Los Alamos National Laboratory Administrative Assistance Intern in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do_
This internship position is housed within the Associate Directorate of Theory, Simulation, and Computation (ADTSC) at Los Alamos National Laboratory. ADTSC is seeking undergraduates in administrative and business operations fields, including finance/budget, human resources, business administration, and project management. It is a paid internship, requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week year-round. All selected candidates will be provided with a mentor and will receive Laboratory administrative support training, including learning the Laboratory's organizational structure, communications protocol, business systems (including but not limited to foreign and domestic travel, time keeping, US and foreign visitor processing,procurement), and applicable administrative policies and procedures. Student interns will be assigned to different groups throughout the Directorate with rotating assignments in each area lasting 3-4 months
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week,year-round (full-time internships are available and highly desirable)
Demonstrated experience working in a teamenvironment
Demonstrated ability of attention to detail
Intermediate written and verbal communicationskills
Willingness and ability to rotate assignmentsevery 3-4 months, which requires flexibility and ability to adapt to changingoffice environments and procedures
Education: Currentlyundergoing a business-related Bachelor's degree, with a cumulative GPA of atleast a 3.0.
- Self-motivated with clear idea of near andlonger-term career goals in an administrative and/or business-related field
