What You Will Do_

The successful candidate will work on the development of augmented reality applications, analyzing data and developing algorithms for event-based imagers, development of robotic devices for structural health monitoring, the development of signal/video processing algorithms, and the development of structural health monitoring systems.

The successful candidate will document their work in the form of conference and journal publications. The successful candidate will work both individually as well as in a team setting.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience using event-driven imagers

  • Experience developing software for augmented reality

  • Experience using Unity and Visual C#

  • Experience with full-field video processing techniques for extracting structural dynamics information

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with machine learning

  • Experience with robotics.

Additional Details:

No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.

Where You Will Work_

Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns.

The applicant will work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory Engineering Institute. The Engineering Institute does research in structural health monitoring, smart structures, smart manufacturing, signal/video processing, robotics, augmented reality and human-machine interfaces.
