What You Will Do
The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (MPA-CINT) is seeking outstanding candidates to join our effort in the development of ultra-broadband terahertz circular dichroism (THz-CD) spectroscopy for the investigation of chiral materials and biomolecules. Candidates are expected to collaborate with other members in the LUMOS team (Laboratory for Ultrafast Materials and Optical Science) and scientists in CINT as well as in other Lab organizations such as Bioscience Division. The postdoctoral position is mainly for experimental work including instrumentation based on terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) and preparation and measurements of chiral materials and biomolecules.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Extensive research experience in ultrafast spectroscopy and terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS).
Experience in LabVIEW/MATLAB programming for instrument control.
Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently
Experience in electromagnetic metamaterials/metasurfaces.
Experience in micro-/nano-fabrication in clean room environments.
Experience in experimental biophysics research.
Experience in molecular dynamics simulations
PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences, or other relevant disciplines completed within the last FIVE years or soon to be completed.
