What You Will Do
The Manufacturing Manager 3 (FLM), will report to the Operational Readiness and Implementation ORI-3 Group Leader, and will provide management and leadership to the Tactical Scheduling Team. The Manufacturing Manager will manage tactical scheduling and execution efforts, WIPS schedule fidelity, facility outage planning, and execution metrics. In addition to understanding all of the technical requirements for scheduling, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, security for the team. The Manufacturing Manager 3 will ensure the upkeep, fidelity, and dissemination of the execution schedule, as well as owning and facilitating production support and scheduling meetings.

Demonstrated working knowledge of production and planning control methods.
Demonstrated experience with shop floor scheduling and work week management principles.
Demonstrated experience in managing the integration of facility availability, programmatic work and support services.
Demonstrated ability in making manufacturing resource decisions based on organizational goals.
Successful leadership experience in supervision, resolving conflicts, administering discipline, mentoring, team building, managing staff requirements, motivating employees, and developing personnel.
Experience in project management, including negotiating, authorizing, and directing the use of resources to meet work scope, schedules, budgets, and Laboratory goals.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience successfully executing work in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience adhering to manufacturing policies, programs, procedures, and practices.
Demonstrated experience with data analytics and manufacturing metric development and analysis.
Demonstrated experience with Lean principles and process improvement.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
DOE Order 426.2 Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years nuclear experience.
Direct experience with TA-55 manufacturing processes and environment.
Demonstrated successful collaboration, within the TA-55 organizational and support structure.
Detailed knowledge of products and service lines operating within the TA-55 manufacturing environment.
Experience with resource conflict resolution within a manufacturing schedule.
Detailed knowledge of Laboratory practices, policies, and procedures specifically relating to scheduling and execution.
Active Q-clearance and HRP.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science. To manage at TA-55, four years nuclear experience required. Education or experience that is job-related may be substituted for a degree on a case-by-case basis. The degree may fulfill 3 of the 4 years of nuclear experience required on a one-for-one time basis.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter.
