What You Will Do

The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, Materials Physics & Applications Division (MPA-CINT) is seeking an enthusiastic outstanding Postdoc in quantum dots integrated optical metamaterials. We are looking for independent and creative candidates with outstanding track record to join our multi-disciplinary research team. The available postdoctoral position is mainly in experiments including micro/nano fabrication and optical characterizations, although the efforts also include some theoretical modeling and full-wave numerical simulations. What We Require:

  • A PhD degree completed within the last five years or soon to be completed in Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Material Science or in an appropriate discipline.

  • Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentations.

  • Research experience in experimental nanophotonics.

  • Experience in clean-room micro/nano structure fabrication.

  • Ability to conduct independent research.

  • Good communication skills.

What We Desire:

  • Experience in full-wave numerical simulations using licensed commercial packages such as CST Microwave Studio and COMSOL Multiphysics, or using open source codes.

  • Experience in optical metamaterials/metasurfaces.

  • Experience in quantum dot based optoelectronic devices and spectroscopy will be a plus.
