What You Will Do
The Applied Modern Physics Group (P-21) is seeking postdoctoral researchers to work on several projects in the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Team. This team works develops software and hardware technology to address the Nation’s need for quantum-based cryptography.
The successful candidate will:
Work in a team environment on develop the methodologies, software, and hardware systems needed for quantum key distribution.
Conduct research to advance the state of quantum cryptography
Communicate research results through reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
Where You Will Need
Minimum Job Requirements
PhD or equivalent in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university
Substantial theoretical research experience in one or more of the fields, or in fields applicable to, quantum physics, quantum information theory, quantum thermodynamics, and information protocols.
Demonstrated research ability, as evidenced by publications, reports, presentations, awards, etc.
Excellent communication skills, as evidenced by publications and a cogent cover letter
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Education : PhD in related field completed within the past five years or soon to be completed.

Salary - Competitive salaries are based on the date the PhD degree requirements were completed or the degree was awarded.
