Full Stack Developer - Post Bachelor Student

What You Will Do

The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) enterprise application and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The SAE-3 Site Infrastructure, Mission, and Programs Software Group provides software engineering services, custom application development, and commercial off the shelf application implementations.

We are currently looking for a motivated, driven Post Bachelor student that is interested in learning full-stack software development, industry standard software and methodologies and grow in your career path. You will join the SAE-3 Deployed Services Team in support of various customers where you will focus on creative problem solving while creating mission-critical software. Our objective is to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective software and applications that meet business and operational needs in support of the LANL mission.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Education or experience in one of the following areas relevant to SAE Division:
  • Experience with Front End Web Development or Back-end Development, ReactJS or Java
  • RDBMS Database experience, MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
  • Software Version Control , Git.

Desired Qualifications

Working knowledge and experience with ReactJS, custom component, and related libraries

Familiar with Agile methodologies


Position requires a relevant bachelor's degree to SAE Division from an accredited program with a GPA of at least 3.0

Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM with the potential for teleworking from a location within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite will be periodically required. Telework is at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Additional Details
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
