Graduate Student Plasma Physics Researcher

What You Will Do

Come join our multidisciplinary research institutions as a summer graduate research position in the AOT-AE group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The research will focus on conducting experiments that help us understand the ability of antenna to generate plasma waves in space. You will conduct plasma physics experiments in collaboration with the University of California Los Angeles. Your job duties will include running the 180E Inductively Coupled Plasma Device at UCLA, fabricating novel antenna for the experiment, planning and conducting experiments on whistler wave generation, and data analysis. These results will be compared to analytical and numerical models to help understand the underlying physics.
