Materials Science Postdoctoral Research Associate

What You Will Do

Come join the best and brightest minds in the world at one of the most innovative and creative multidisciplinary research institutions engaged in strategic science on behalf of U.S national security. The work we do at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) matters to our country and the world.

The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) has great opportunities for outstanding candidates to join our effort in the growth and characterization of functional thin film materials and devices. Functional properties characterizations including device characterization and low temperature transport are critical skills. Experience in reflection high-energy electron diffraction, synchrotron experiments or LabVIEW will be a plus. The growth/characterization tools available within in the team include pulsed laser deposition systems, sputtering, laser molecular beam epitaxy systems, thin film X-ray diffraction, electronic device characterization tools, physical properties measurement system etc. Other synthesis, nanofabrication and characterization facilities are available at Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT, http://cint.lanl.gov/). CINT is a Department of Energy, Office of Science Nanoscale Science Research Center (NSRC) funded national user facility, jointly operated by Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. Candidates are expected to collaborate with scientists at different organizations to perform cutting-edge materials science research which supports Laboratory missions and maintains Laboratory Excellence in Science and Technology.
