Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions in Quantum Photonic
- Req. Number: IRC136928
- Organization : MPA-CINT/Center For Integrated Nanotechnologies
- City, State: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Multiple postdoctoral and graduate research assistant positions in the area of Quantum Photonic are available at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (Los Alamos Gateway). We are seeking outstanding candidates to join our efforts on the spectroscopic characterization of 2D materials and their heterostructures, solid-state quantum defects, semiconductor nanocrystals, single walled carbon nanotubes and metal-semiconductor hybrid nanostructures. The scope of the projects ranges from study of fundamental photo-physics and quantum optic to integration of quantum emitters into proto-typed quantum devices. The successful candidate will have direct access to advanced single nanostructure optical spectroscopic tools including low temperature single nanostructure PL/PLE/TRPL systems, magneto PL, ODMR, apertureless NSOM/AFM system, scanning confocal Raman microscope, and state of art micro-electronic fabrication facilities. The candidate will work closely with multiple LANL scientists: Han Htoon, Prashant Padmanabhan, Andrew Jones, and Jennifer A. Hollingsworth. Outstanding candidates may be considered for a prestigious Director's Fellowship, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Richard P. Feynman or Frederick Reines Fellowships.
