What You Will Do

The Applied Mathematics and Plasma Physics group (T-5) at Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an outstanding post-doctoral candidate in the field of Computational Plasma Physics. The research will be centered around the development and application of novel algorithms for fluid and kinetic plasma simulation.

Minimum Job Requirements:

We seek highly motivated applicants with a:

  • Strong numerical and computational background

  • Demonstrated record of scientific achievements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to pursue research independently

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.

Education: Ph.D. in computational plasma physics, applied mathematics, or a closely related area earned within the last five years.
