We are looking for an outstanding benefits team member to enhance the working experience for our employees and their families.
Reporting to the Benefits Manager and being part of a benefits team, the primary focus of this position is to provide functional expertise in the Oracle Benefits module. This individual will work closely with functional and technical resources and should have working knowledge of employee benefits. Will work as part of the Benefits Data Management Team supporting the larger HR Benefits Team. Will be responsible for validation of Benefits data into Oracle, as well as various reporting functions related to that data.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Knowledge of U.S. Benefits Programs/Administration
Knowledge in U.S. benefits programs and benefits administration, U.S. benefits compliance and regulations including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA. Experience in an ERISA HR Benefits environment. Working knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) and Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB) or application with similar system architecture. Working knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) and Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB).
Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting basic research regarding health care administration and the relevant governances, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions to problems affecting benefits administration. Experience with identifying data discrepancies and data trends, researching causal factors, and recommending and implementing compliant corrective actions. Ability to learn and retain detailed procedures, policy and regulatory information to provide guidance and recommendations to colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
Experience in working with stakeholders to achieve project or program success from design to implementation. Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under pressure on a number of projects/initiatives at the same time in a rapidly growing and evolving environment. Successful record of building operational processes and procedures with a focus on shared knowledge. Ability to improve processes, programs and efficiencies. Experience in delivering high levels of customer service. Requires strong communication skills, good writing skills and strong customer service. Must be comfortable working in a team environment and be willing to encourage and foster cooperation and teamwork while remaining open to change, new information, and ideas.
Direct experience maintaining confidentiality and protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII) throughout daily operations. Must be detail oriented, able to handle confidential information appropriately, and demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes with no direct authority.
Position typically requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job.
Knowledge of the Laboratory's benefits policies, practices and procedures.
Experience with large-scale employee benefit programs as it relates to the understanding of large data sets.
Strong data analysis skills; proven ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-driven business decisions
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to present findings to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of HR Information Management Systems
Experience in an ERISA HR Benefits environment.
Experience in process improvement, LEAN, or Six Sigma

Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion.Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
