What You Will Do
The Computer Systems Professional 2 will become a team member for a highly visible Network Infrastructure and Engineering (NIE) group that manages enterprise services for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This specific team is designated under Core Services (CS) and makes up the Collaboration team under that group. The technologies we manage have an expectation of being available 24/7 and as such, members of the team are expected to be efficient, available and hard-working to accomplish that expectation. The technologies include Office 365, Exchange email, Mobile Device Management using BlackBerry UEM and iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads, Skype for Business, and SharePoint.
M ore specifically, this position is targeting two positions for two separate technologies. (1) An Exchange Administrator and (2) a Skype for Business Administrator. Each position will be evaluated separately but the Minimum Job Requirements are the same for both positions. Our team is focused on identifying applicants with experience in the two technologies but can is also be adaptable to supporting all the technologies our team supports.
Computer Systems Professional 2 ($75,400 - $122,900)
The CSP2 Administrator will provide tier 3 level support for the supporting infrastructure to run Exchange or Teams/Skype for Business. This support level places the Administrator between vendor support and managing customer requirements for support. It includes tasks such as server operating system maintenance and troubleshooting, running powershell scripts for automated tasks, managing a support ticket rotation, reviewing and understanding design and implementation of service related to Office 365, Exchange, Teams, and Skype for Business.

Job Requirements for Computer Systems Professional 2 :
Demonstrated competency in managing hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, and client server principles.
Demonstrated competency in Web-based technologies including Web page development and maintenance and Web-based tools and utilities.
Demonstrated competency in the use project management methodologies and technologies.
Demonstrated competency in the ability to read, write, and translate technical ideas into verbiage that can be delivered to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated skill in working professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to maintain a successful work environment and complete mission.
Training/Certifications: Training/Certifications: No certifications are required. Training in Office 365, Exchange and Skype for Business can be provided.
Computing Systems Professional 2 Position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with public key infrastructure (PKI) and certificates.
Experience working with Windows PowerShell.
Understanding the use of load balancing and front end layers of abstraction for server security
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 services and concepts (Azure AD, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, etc.).

This posting is for two separate positions; (1) And Exchange administrator and (2) A Skype for Business administrator. The basic job requirements represent the basic team needs while the Desired Qualifications will identify the specific technology.
This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
