What You Will Do eXperience Information Technology (XIT) division is seeking an energeticand customer-focused Windows and Mac OS X System Administratorfor the XIT Unclassified Systems Services (XIT-USS) group. XIT-USS consists of approximately 67 professionals, technicians, and students. The successful candidate will work in XIT-USS and will be providing dedicated desktop support services to an assigned customer base in various locations across the laboratory. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support services in a heterogeneous computing environment for XIT-USS customers.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Demonstrated experience of Windows and Mac OS X system administration including utilizing Active Directory to proactively manage systems
Ability to resolve issues or fulfill requests through Windows and Mac remote desktop support
Experience troubleshooting problems using Bomgar, SCCM Remote, or similar desktop automation systems to remotely administer systems
Experience researching, installing, and troubleshooting, hardware, software and encryption issues
Experience working well in a team environment as well as working independently to provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer issues
Must have organizational skills, time management skills and outstanding customer service
Education/Experience: Position requires a High School diploma or equivalency and 4-6 years directly related experience; or; an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Technical Institute graduation or AA degree may be preferred.
UNIX/Linux system administration experience
JAMF administration experience
SCCM administration experience
Location: This position will be physically located in Los Alamos.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
