What You Will Do
The Financial Business Analyst is responsible for providing services in the areas of finance/budget, business analysis, and general business operations to the organization assigned. The Financial Business Analyst will advise management and personnel on pertinent policies, procedures and regulations and provide guidance in fulfilling responsibilities for budget formulation and execution, financial planning, and analysis. Facilitate the understanding of financial management issues; facilitate communication with Management teams, various Directorates, CFO Division, and other Laboratory and sponsor organizations; and performs work under minimal direction from the Division Financial Leads and Business Managers.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Demonstrated experience managing both direct and indirect budgets for project leaders, group and division management.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, strategy formulation, planning methodologies and program/portfolio management.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of large, complex budgets and funding practices.
Excellent organizational skills to independently establish priorities as-well-as managing projects, and executing complex business and financial assignments.
Demonstrated experience supporting technical customers by providing overall business support.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and the ability to interact with a variety of constituents.
Proven ability to work in a diverse and busy environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.
Demonstrated proficient use of software applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, etc.
Experience at a National Laboratory or a NNSA/DOE facility.
Demonstrated knowledge of cost allowability and cost accounting standards.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration (MBA preferred) and typically five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
