Where You Will Work_

Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns.

The Chemistry Division’s Actinide Analytical Chemistry (C-AAC) group supports a variety of defense and other national security programs, focusing on the chemical and isotopic analysis of the actinide elements. C-AAC occupies laboratory space in the Chemistry and Metallurgy Research (CMR) and TA-55 nuclear facilities, and in the recently constructed Radiological Laboratory Utility Office Building (RLUOB), a best-in-class actinide research facility, as well as TA-59.
