Vacancy Name: IRC71502
Job Title Materials Science Postdoc
Location Los Alamos, NM, US
Organization Name MPA-CINT/Center For Integrated Nanotechnologies
What You Will Do
The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (MPA-CINT) has great opportunities for outstanding candidates to join our effort in the growth and characterization of quantum materials, with a focus on thin films including heterostructures and f -electron systems. Functional properties characterizations including magnetism and low temperature transport are critical skills. Experience inreflection high-energy electron diffraction, synchrotron experiments or LabVIEW will be a plus. The growth/characterization tools available within in the team include several pulsed laser deposition systems, sputtering, laser molecular beam epitaxy systems, thin film X-ray diffraction, etc . Other synthesis, nanofabrication and characterization facilities are available at Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT,http://cint.lanl.gov/). CINT is a Department of Energy, Office of Science Nanoscale Science Research Center (NSRC) funded national user facility, jointly operated by Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. Candidates are expected to collaborate with scientists at different organizations (e.g. NHMFL, CINT) to perform cutting-edge materials science research which supports Laboratory missions and maintains Laboratory Excellence in Science and Technology.
