What You Will Do

The selected candidate will report to the TA-55 FOD providing Issues Management support for TA-55. The select candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive issues management program for the TA55 facility to include: coordinating occurrence investigations with the Laboratory Occurrence Investigation Group; conducting fact-finding inquiries for sub-ORPS events and PAAA screenings; performing initial screening of events in order to make recommendations to facility management on significance and reportability; daily screening of issues in preparation for the Management Review Board; tracking and trending data associated with reportable and non-reportable occurrences; tracking and verifying corrective actions to close issues; assist in the development of apparent cause analysis; and monitoring and reporting on the status of issues and actions assigned.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity of PAAA applicability.

  • Familiarity with a broad range of facility operations-related issues, including, ES&H;, quality, work control, conduct of operations, and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated experience interacting successfully with all levels of workers and management.

  • Excellent written and oral communications.

  • Familiarity with the Laboratory’s Issues Management System.

  • Excellent time management skills as demonstrated by the ability to work on multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines.

Education:Position typically requires a minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Details:

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
