What You Will Do

Responsible to the MSS Core Work Control Team Lead for the development of schedules for day-to day maintenance activities as well as for system outages and maintenance outages. Prepares and analyzes daily work schedules to optimize equipment availability and manpower usage. This position also updates and publishes daily work schedules and monitors progress.

Supervises schedule development, maintenance and monitoring activities. Supervise cost analysis, and control activities. Prepares and reviews or supervises the preparation and presentation of project and maintenance planning activities. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Responsible for cost analysis/control and planning and scheduling activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for discipline/projects/proposal cost and planning activities which require a high degree of skilled technical experience.

This position requires a technical background with maintenance and /or operations experience. The responsibilities that follow apply when performing Maintenance Scheduling duties: Develop logic driven, resource leveled outage schedules based on plant and procedures knowledge with input from various departments. Participate and lead planning meetings in planning, scheduling and executing outage activities and projects. Ensure outage schedule is designed to ensure compliance with NUMARC 96-01 and INPO AP-928. Obtain reports from Asset Suites to track scope, planning progress and emergent activities. Participate in T Week scope meetings. Update schedules with progress and emergent activities.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, and cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis, in the field and the home office.

  • Ability to identify scope of schedule activities and determines schedule dates for work activities within a discipline area or specialty. Determines milestones to support project schedule.

  • Knowledge of supervision/mentoring/coaching and training of technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Excellent oral and written communication.

  • Proficiency in using personal computer operating systems, including several basic software applications. Proficiency in using multiple discipline-specific software applications currently used.

  • Experience with a financial report systems and controller account codes, and understanding of controller instructions, which impact project controls.

  • Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of project controls general technical skills.

  • Knowledge of engineering and/or construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.

Education Requirement: Position typically requires a minimum of eight years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
