What You Will Do
We are seeking highly motivated candidates to fill three Production Control Specialist 3 positions working in a manufacturing environment within the SSE-2 Manufacturing Systems and Execution Team. Looking for individuals with a wide-range of system experience who use professional concepts and objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Candidates are expected to contribute to the development of new theories and methods to solve complex issues.
These positions will work to maintain the operation of the current Manufacturing Systems that include Oracle E-Business Suite for Discrete Manufacturing (Manufacturing Resource Planning - MRP) and the iBASEt Solumina Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The systems are used for the Production, Planning and Control of manufacturing of various product lines within the ADPSM directorate. Selected candidates will assist the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with current roles and responsibilities to include configuration management, creating and executing plans, and software implementations.
The selected candidates will be expected to develop into MRP SuperUsers and MES SuperUsers of system functionality requiring a high level of skill and knowledge. Selected candidates will troubleshoot and create innovative solutions to assist functional users. High level of interaction with both internal and external customers to include functional users, Database Administrators (DBAs), Technical Application Administrator (TAA’s), and System Administrators is expected.
Finally, the selected candidates will assist in planning and coordinating one or more programs relating to a full range of security functions including, but not limited to, inspections, identification of vulnerabilities, and assessment of risks. Specific duties may include establishing and monitoring security plans/goals, and/or security programs. Works will all levels of Laboratory management and interacts with enforcement agencies. Reviews and recommends actions on system security related issues. Understands and adheres to all Laboratory and industry regulatory guidance and governance specific to computer and information security. Maintain required safety and security training and security compliance, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Demonstrated working knowledge of Manufacturing Systems (MRP systems and/or MES systems)
Demonstrated experience in Software Security and Implementation
Demonstrated record of adherence to manufacturing policies, programs, procedures, and practices
Demonstrated strong tactical decision making
Extensive knowledge and experience with computer security for classified information security and communications security systems.
Extensive knowledge of computer workstations, servers, and area networks.
Extensive experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting computer and information security.
Skills to conceptualize and communicate major elements of security to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Extensive experience in the preparation and presentation of computer and information security reports and recommendations to diverse audiences of internal/external customers.
Extensive knowledge of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting computer and information security.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex computer security plans.
Comprehensive understanding of Department of Energy (DOE) and Laboratory computer and information security policies, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of Production Control concepts
Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM) training and/or certification
Experience working with classified systems and data
System Super User Experience
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Concepts
Active Q Clearance
Education:: Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, business management discipline, or managing information systems from an accredited college or university and a minimum of eight years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
