What You Will Do

Find and attract outstanding talent for one of the world’s most innovative and creative multidisciplinary research institutions! Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for a high caliber talent acquisition professional to join our recruiting team. As a Senior Recruiter, you will be responsible for talent acquisition activities including collaborating with hiring managers to identify search criteria and strategies; sourcing and following-up with potential applicants; attending recruiting events; and promoting high-potential candidates. You may also be asked to develop others and shape the future of recruiting at the Laboratory.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Management Consultation - Extensive experience consulting with hiring managers, including assisting with job posting development, recruiting strategies, and hiring best practices

  • Candidate Sourcing - Extensive experience networking, sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates for a variety of professionaland managerial positions, including the demonstrated ability to place numerous highly qualified candidates over short periods of time

  • Social Media - Extensive experience conducting online searches, developing social media recruitment strategies, and using related tools, including Indeed, Google ad campaigns, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.

  • Career Fairs and Events -Extensive experience attending recruiting events/career fairs, including serving as a knowledgeable and motivational organizational ambassador

  • Requisition Management - Extensive experience managing multiple recruiting requisitions, including the accurate and timely disposition of candidates

  • Diversity and Inclusion - Extensive knowledge of diversity and inclusion strategies as they relate to talent acquisition, including the demonstrated ability to place diverse candidates across a variety of disciplines

Desired Skills

  • STEM - E xperience recruiting for R&D and/or academic STEM fields, including engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, computer science, and/or mathematics

  • Workforce Planning/Metrics - Knowledge and experience analyzing workforce data; identifying current and future gaps in the workforce; and developing and implementing success metrics and/or plans to address gaps

  • Mentoring - Experience mentoring or supervising students and/or early career staff in recruiting or another HR-related field

Education Required: Position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, a relevant graduate degree may be preferred.
