What You Will Do_
The Software and Applications Engineering Division is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Software Quality Management Specialist to lead and deliver IT initiatives within ADBI as a part of the SAE-4 Business Systems Solution Center. The selected candidate will support SAE by providing software quality management on assigned projects and collaborating with other technical staff to ensure a high standard of software quality throughout the Laboratory.
The selected candidate will report to the SAE-4 Group Leader and perform job requirements as described below and as assigned by SAE-4 Management.
Software Quality Management Specialist 3 Responsibilities:
Performs development and execution of software quality methods and processes.
Responsible for tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality management standards.
Implements and defines testing methodology and standards to improve results.
Frequently contributes to the development and/or implementation of new technical standards and methods.
Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Knowledge of the CMMI process improvement model including implementation and training.
Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
Demonstrated ability developing software engineering standards in all software engineering process areas to include providing recommendations to management.
Experience in conducting internal quality assurance assessments on all areas of software engineering.
Experience in overseeing software testing and consulting the software testing process, including the establishment of project requirements for manual and automated testing.
Experience in planning, analyzing, coordinating, and implementing formal configuration management standards and procedures, including participation in the change control process and the overall SDLC.
Experience developing project specific software quality management and quality control work plans.
Knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) quality assurance requirements and guidelines.
Experience working with the LANL Business Systems or Environment.
Experience working with HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) suite of testing and software change management tools.
Experience working with JIRA for change management processing.
Education:Typically requires a post-graduate degree and/or professional certification(s) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
