This position will be filled at either the Quality Assurane Analyst 3/4 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.

Quality Assurance Analyst 3 ($83,300 - $136,200)
As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst you will support the Weapons Production Directorate’s Software Quality Assurance Program with implementation and oversight for various production programs. You will work closely with production personnel to ensure software meets defined procedures and process requirements by providing software engineering expertise throughout the software life cycle. You will serve as the lead for multiple projects and will mentor staff in software engineering and quality principles. Youwill also conduct and support software assessments in all areas of software engineering and support continuous improvements to program processes and procedures.
Quality Assurance Analyst 4 ($101,000 - $168,600)
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level,the SQAA 4 will provide technical expertise and initiative in identifying areas to which SQA practices may be introduced and enhanced. You will also provide expert advice in all software engineering process areas. At this level, you will be responsible forfull implementation of the ALDWP Software Quality Assurance Program. This will include managing multiple large software projects, mentoring and providing direction to lower level SQAAs, and communicating with various levels of personnel across the Directorate and Institution. You will be the primary interface to the SQA Program Lead on implementation support and will work with the Program Lead to plan, prioritize and manage implementation support. You will devise improvements to current processes and procedures and will develop models of possible future configurations, perform work flow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Education/Experience at QAA3 :Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science discipline and minimum of 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to meet the requirements above.
Education/Experience at higher level :Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science discipline and minimum of 12 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to meet the requirements above.
Quality Assessments: Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in performing quality assessments, surveillances, and/or audits in all areas of software quality assurance and/or engineering.
Quality Standards: Knowledge of and experience in the areas of quality assurance regulatory, contractual, and technical documents, i.e., DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CRF 830, Weapons Quality Policy (NAP‐401.1) and NQA‐1.
Quality Assurance: Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the implementation of LANL contract requirements relevant to software quality assurance and cyber security activities.
Certification : A recognized, relative industry certification in project management or software quality inspection/assurance such as PMI’s PMP certification or ASQ’s CSQE certification.
