What You Will Do
Exciting opportunity to be part of the deployment and systems administration team for a new enterprise wide service to support least privilege and accountability for the use of administrative accounts based on the BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Manager and the BeyondTrust Password Vault. You will join a team of highly skilled professionals that manage a variety of enterprise-scale endpoint management services with great opportunities for growth and collaboration. You will work in the Network and Infrastructure Engineering Division supporting a computing environment scaling from “desktop to teraflops,” a diverse and challenging network environment unavailable anywhere else.
Work duties will include:
Third tier customer support for the service
Working with stakeholders across the institution to develop policies and enroll servers
Managing the operating system and applications supporting the service
Monitoring service performance, providing metrics, and providing plans for service development and improvement
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience with Windows OS systems administration
Familiarity with basic computer security concepts particularly password management
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in unclassified and classified computing environments
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited institution and 2 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Recent experience working with Mac OS and/or Linux
Prior experience working with BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Manager or Password Vault
Experience working with Databases
Extensive knowledge of the Windows operating system accesses controls
Experience working with virtualized systems (VMWare, VirtualBox, etc.)
Experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. Employee participation in the Telework Pilot may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
