Los Alamos National Laboratory TA55 FOD Technical Project Manager (Technical Project Manager 3) in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
As the FOD Technical Project Manager, you will function as the Lead Project Manager of the TA55 Facility Operations Division (TA55-DO), reporting to the TA55-DO Facility Operations Director. As the Lead Project Manager, you will have a record of programmatic accomplishments through electronic media to ALDWP staff, delivery, advocacy, and commitment to technical and operational excellence.
The Project Manager will also provide senior program/project leadership and management of portfolio, develop programs/projects, and capabilities that support and diversify the Laboratory mission and promote Laboratory technical capability, and develop the goals, facility operations, production measures, and milestones. You will be responsible to serve as an interface with Engineering, Maintenance and Radiation Protection support organizations. Selected candidate will support coordination of all WIPO FOD allocations received from the Program Office, near & out year project, monitor new & upcoming investment as well as projection of emerging issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Leadership: Demonstrated record of effective teamwork and leadership with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and successfully manage schedules. Demonstrated management and leadership skills for overseeing an organization, including knowledge, skills, and abilities in resource management.
Project Experience: Advanced knowledge of and experience in all aspects of program or project management of technical or operational work, including defining work scope, schedules, budgets, priorities, and performance milestones; developing cost, scope, and schedule baselines; reporting cost and schedule variance; and managing change control and risk.
Nuclear Experience: Demonstrated experience working in moderate to high-hazard facilities, and within nuclear standards.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences, including Laboratory Senior Management.
Education/Experience :Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and 8 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. A Project Management Institute certification is desired for this level.
Advanced Nuclear Experience: Familiarity with the TA-55 facility and related programmatic operations, specifically high-hazard activities in RLUOB, PF-4, RLW, RANT, TWF and/or CMR.
Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
