What You Will Do
As a Technical Project Manager (TPM) as part of the Operational Readiness Implementation Supply Chain Management Group (ORI-3) , you will lead efforts in the development of the cross-organization Manufacturing Supply Chain Management Processes. In this role, you will work with management from cross-functional organizations such as IQPA, PAQ, AMPP, PT, C-AAC, MST-16 and PF. In order to manage and lead these projects, the ideal candidate would possess the ability to map out and develop process flows, along with developing and implementing standardized cross-organizational processes, procedures, specifications, tools and training. The TPM will assist all organizations that play a role in the WR and Institutional supply chains in developing and maintaining their scope and priorities to ensure material is ordered, received and inspected to meet specifications and deliverables/milestones. The selected individual will develop methodology for identifying components sources and critical path components. Assist in developing a standard method of procurement that is driven by long term planning and project schedules. Meet routinely with stakeholders and continuously work with forecasting their needs and priorities. Additional Projects will include overseeing cross-organization system functions, to identify compatibility, classification requirements and needs for additional buildout of modules and applications. The TPM will help coordinate, inform, and work with Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, Procurement Quality Engineers to develop comprehensive Bill of Materials to include critical supply chain information including (applicable quality levels, specifications, kitting and min/max needs). The selected TPM will participate in cross-complex process improvement initiatives relating to supply chain efforts and conducting Voice of the Customer (VOC) surveys to ensure the customer’s needs and expectations are being met. The TPM will work cohesively with the first line managers and group leader of ORI-3 and will develop reports for senior leadership and related parties on execution strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), and group metrics.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management of technical or operational work, including developing project plans and work packages; managing to scope, schedule, budget, and technical baselines; and documenting baseline reports and change control actions.
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, lead and monitor team efforts to completion. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel; building trust, gaining consensus, and resolving conflict.
Proven ability to conceptualize and communicate program requirements and detailed elements to both technical and non-technical personnel. Demonstrated skill with interpersonal, written and verbal communications including presentation skills as evidenced by presenting briefings/project status to stakeholders, etc.
Demonstrated ability tomanage customer interface with program, line management and executive leadership as well as external interfaces. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to provide clear, concise support and guidance to others in sometimes, stressful situations.
Knowledge of business and operations systems and standard software applications (i.e. Microsoft and Adobe products). Advanced knowledge in at least one project management, collaboration, and/or task – tracking software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, SharePoint, Footprints, etc). Proven ability to effectively and independently manage multiple, complex, and overlapping tasks at once.
Education and Experience Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and eight (8) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Project Management Certificate
Initiation of the Project Management Institute certification/ program management course work and/or award of certificate.
Active DOE “Q” clearance.

for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
