What You Will Do
The T-6 group (Theoretical Biology and Biophysics) in the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in bioinformatics, molecular evolution and epidemiology, an/or immunology, to begin as early as January 2021.
Our group conducts research on a broad set of topics in global health, HIV/AIDS epidemiology, vaccine design, virus evolution, and runs two HIV/ for HIV genetic sequences and HIV Immunology. LANL scientists in the T-6 group working in these areas include Bette Korber, Karina Yusim, Will Fischer, Alan Perelson and Thomas Leitner. We collaborate actively with our colleagues throughout the laboratory and around the world.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience with DNA and protein sequence analyses, UNIX scripting and programming in PERL and/or Python. Experience with relational databases is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of human immunology, and at least minimal experience with DNA sequencing and/or immunology technologies is required
Education Required: PhD in related fields completed within the past five years or soon to be completed.
