Quantum Imaging Postdoc

What You Will Do

The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) group is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in quantum imaging. Project work involves the application of entangled photon sources (e.g. from SPDC) towards imaging applications and microscopy to study biological processes in plants and single cells. The work encompasses experimental studies in optics, biological and nanomaterial sample preparation, instrument design, component integration, and data analysis. The successful candidate will advance the fields of quantum ghost imaging and quantum-enabled bioimaging. A strong candidate will be familiar with optics, advanced/non-standard microscopy methods, and adept at integrating hardware components.

What You Need

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently or with teams as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Python/C/Matlab

• Experience with a variety of microscopy techniques (e.g. confocal, lightsheet, single-particle fluorescence, two-photon microscopy, etc.)

• Experience with entangled photon sources, such as non-linear crystals

• The ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance, which usually requires U.S. citizenship. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
