What You Will Do
The Lab invites you to join our Controller Systems Team. We are looking for a seasoned Financial Systems Analyst professional to provide business systems support and become a member in our CNTL-Systems (CNTL-SYS) Group.
The CNTL-SYS Group is seeking to ﬁll a position as a Senior SystemsAnalystwithafocusonthesupport and maintenance for Oracle General Ledger, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Inventory Modules. Primary duties will include delivering business solutions within the modules, application configuration, functional testing to support new releases/upgrades and the development of functional designs.The candidate will work with functional business owners and users to analyze complex financial problems and processes that are solved with automated systems; provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements; configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing; create specifications for systems to meet business requirements and design details of automated systems. Will provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. Candidate must have strong organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills. Reliability, availability and the ability to work outside a regular schedule are a must.

Business Systems Knowledge and Support
Extensive knowledge and experience in accounting and financial systems information technology theory, principles, and techniques, along withapplying that knowledge to accounting and financial management processes as it relates to Oracle. Extensive experience with budgeting and/or accounting with specific emphasis inOracle General Ledger and Project Accounting Modulesor a related financial business process.Demonstrated expertise and extensive technical judgment in determining cost-effective methods. Extensive knowledge and experience to translate strategies into specific objectives and action plans; align processes and systems to support strategic priorities; obtain and allocate needed resources to meet functional objectives and deliverables. Knowledge of cross-functional work processes and interfaces to include, but not limited to, supply chain management, performance assurance, project controls, and project management.
Extensive experience with Oracle Financials or similar Enterprise Business System Suite (General Ledger and Project Accounting Modules, including the configuration set-ups, available functionality, and the integration of these modules with the Oracle HRMS and Financial modules. Test and support new releases, upgrades and the development of functional designs. Proven ability to test and support new releases, upgrades and the development of functional designs.
Extensive experience analyzing complex financial reporting problems, developing strategies, and designing reporting solutions.
Extensive demonstrated experience in delivering business solutions within the project accounting and general ledger modules as well as application configuration. Extensive knowledge and experience leading special projects requiring the development of unique solutions to problems of unusual complexity, recommending and implementing courses of actions.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to resolve, motivate, negotiate, influence, build consensus among others in order to successfully implement changes and acceptance of new ideas or conceptswhile collaborating with other functional system analysts, technical resources, and subject matter experts for the area they support and to provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field and 12 years of experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Experience working with implementing an Oracle Project Accounting and General Ledger Module
Experience with Oracle organizational hierarchy, project costing and burden setup
Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and Workflow
Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.
