Los Alamos National Laboratory Inverse Modeling of Multi-Physics Flows Postdoc in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
Los Alamos National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security, and the Computational Physics and Methods (CCS-2) group at LANL conducts research, in part, to develop high-fidelity techniques necessary to deliver verified and validated numerical solutions for important scientific problems at the center of LANL programs. A postdoctoral position is available in CCS-2 as part of a project to conduct research on inverse modeling of multiphysics, multiscale flows. This two year position is available immediately. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fluid dynamics and applied mathematics. Other desirable skills include familiarity with high performance computing, model-data fusion techniques, data-driven modeling and machine-learning techniques.
What You Need
Education: PhD in applied math or fluid dynamics or a closely related field completed within the past five years or soon to be completed
