Los Alamos National Laboratory Senior Procurement Specialist (Procurement Specialist 4) in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do
Acquisition Management Services is responsible for procurement, logistics (including materials management, property management, fleet, warehousing, and shipping) and the Calibration Laboratory. This position will report to the Division Office and job duties will include the following:
Conduct assessments for the Division office
Lead short-term improvement teams for the Division Leader, primarily in procurement but may include logistics
Lead process streamlining improvement initiatives on behalf to the Division Office
Prepare and deliver Supply Chain training as directed by the Division Leader
Represent the Division Office at Senior Leadership meetings and improvement teams
Serve as Division expert in procurement compliance
Represent Los Alamos ASM Division Leader in NNSA wide procurement councils and improvement teams
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of NNSA procurement systems
Experience serving in a role of overseeing a NNSA M&O; contractor site compliance organization or extensive experience in a compliance role at an NNSA contractor site
Working knowledge of NNSA contractor business systems
Expertise in procurement software systems
Extensive knowledge of procurement internal controls for NNSA contractors
Strong leadership skills
Demonstrated skills in improving procurement and other supply chain systems
Over 5 years’ experience as Manager of a procurement compliance department at a NNSA or DOE contractor site
Served on NNSA PERT teams
Education:Position typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
