Los Alamos National Laboratory Subcontract Technical Representative 1 in Los Alamos, New Mexico
What You Will Do_
LOG-MSM is seeking to fill two Subcontract Technical Representatives (STRs). One STR will primarily serve to manage real property maintenance, repair, institutional type subcontracts and services. This position will be responsible for supporting the Laboratory and subcontractors throughout the life of assigned subcontracts. The successful candidate shall work with various LANL organizations and the Subcontractor to ensure compliance with contract exhibits, laboratory and external regulatory requirements including Training, Safety, Security and Environmental. Areas of responsibility include: subcontract requirement development support, work execution oversight, on-site coordination, day-to-day technical / administrative guidance and closeout activities in accordance with the terms and conditions of complex subcontracts and Department of Energy (DOE), Laboratory, and site-specific requirements.
Additionally, LOG-MSM is looking for a deployed Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) to manage the Cooling and Heating Asset Management Program (CHAMP) and the Roof Asset Management Program (RAMP), along with real property maintenance and repair subcontracts. This position will be responsible for supporting our customers with subcontract requirement development, work execution, coordination, day-to-day technical / administrative guidance and associated closeout activities as assigned. The STR will identify site specific requirements (site special conditions) for inclusion in LLNS’ contract with CHAMP subcontractor.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Entry level experience in the formation and administration of subcontracts through the several steps of bidder pre-qualification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award, monitoring the performance of subcontractors, back charge procedures, resolution of claims and disputes, and other such related steps.
A minimum of two years’ experience in supporting maintenance and repair type subcontract activities in an ADSTR or STR role.
Basic knowledge of government regulations affecting maintenance and site services subcontract management.
Demonstrated technical writing, written communication and verbal/presentation skills.
Knowledgeable in computer based programs including Microsoft Office WORD, EXCEL and POWER POINT
Experience and demonstrated skill in identifying problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining actions to be performed on problems affecting facility maintenance and site service type subcontracts.
Experience interacting effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers in a collaborative manner to achieve organizational objectives.
Proficient in ORACLE Catalog and Non-Catalog I-Procurement data entry.
Demonstrated record of commitment to a working environment of quality and excellence to safety and security.

Education:Position typically requires a minimum of two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
