What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures pertaining to training. Awareness of DOE orders and standards pertaining to training.
  • Working knowledge of the Laboratory's training data management systems and related information data systems.
  • Working knowledge of common computer-based applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Working knowledge of common audio-visual and office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of communication and presentation techniques in both written and spoken communications in the English language.
Additional Job Requirements for Training Coordinator 3:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures pertaining to training.
  • In-depth knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) orders and standards pertaining to training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Laboratory's Learning Management System or related information data systems.
  • Analytical and problem solving techniques and processes.
Education/Experience at the Training Coordinator 2 Level: Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related experience.

Education/Experience at the Training Coordinator 3 Level: Position requires an Associate's Degree and 4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments where accuracy and deadlines matter.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and complete work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills with experience communicating professionally to large or complex audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team, maintain a positive attitude, and support shared goals.
  • Experience identifying process gaps and contributing practical improvements to workflows or coordination practices.

Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Work Schedule: Evening and weekend flexibility required.

Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Additional Details

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

Regular Position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
