Join the best and brightest minds in the world at one of the most innovative multidisciplinary research institutions engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. The work we do at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) directly contributes to national and global security.
The Plutonium Supply and Disposition Division (PSD) is seeking highly motivated Manufacturing Managers to support national security missions in PSD-4 (Material Recovery and Recycle) and PSD-3 (Advanced Recovery and Integrated Extraction System, ARIES). These positions provide operational leadership, oversight, workforce development, and mission execution in a nuclear facility environment.
Successful candidates will collaborate with Group Leaders and partner closely with FLMs, MM-1s, peers across the Division, facility operations, and technical teams. These positions require ensuring safe, secure, high-quality performance in support of complex, high-hazard plutonium operations.

PSD-3 - ARIES
- PSD-3 supports ARIES pit disassembly, metal conversion, oxide stabilization, packaging, analytical support, and nuclear material recovery operations that contribute directly to stockpile sustainment and national security research.
- The Manufacturing Manager will support mission-critical nuclear processing, packaging, analytical, and production activities while partnering with management to guide strategic planning, program development, workforce management, and operational excellence.
PSD-5 -Aqueous Recovery and Purification Operations
- PSD-5 the Aqueous Recovery and Purification Operations Group within the Plutonium Supply and Disposition (PSD) Division, supports critical national security missions at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The group plays an essential role in plutonium metal production, nuclear material recovery and recycle, and aqueous purification operations that sustain the Laboratory's plutonium enterprise. PSD-5 supports Material Recovery & Recycle (MR&R), the Los Alamos Plutonium Pit Production Project (LAP4) modernization efforts, and Americium production for U.S. well logging applications. Through this mission-focused work, PSD-5 helps enable the future of plutonium operations while contributing to the development of the next generation of nuclear engineers and scientists.
