Come join the Weapons Stockpile Modernization Division (Q-DO) and become part of a great Support Staff team and organization supporting our national security! We are seeking a highly- motivated, energetic, customer-service focused, experienced, and professional staff member to provide business support to our exciting and fast-paced organization. You must be an excellent problem-solver and able to anticipate challenges and obstacles and tactfully resolve them while providing high-level professional administrative/program support to 5 Project-Program Directors and 40 additional group members. While executing your responsibilities, you will consistently maintain a professional office atmosphere, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy, initiative, versatility, tact, and confidentiality. The PSA-2 will be expected to lead, manage, and complete special projects for the W93 program, assist Q-DO Staff Operations Manager (SOM) with space management, oversee HR hiring action items, assist with managing Confluence access and spreadsheets, and serve as a mentor to other administrative staff. You will work closely with the Q-DO SOM in creating a team environment marked by close cooperation, adaptability, and a willingness to provide support where needed while serving as a point of contact, resource, and role model for administrative staff throughout Q Division.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Administrative and Professional Level Support
Experienced in providing high-level professional support in a busy office environment managing daily business operations such as time and effort, complex calendar management, records management, correspondence, presentation preparation, and scheduling logistics for meetings and visits. Advanced-level experience with solving problems, developing and implementing solutions, and innovating business practices to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels.
Organization and Time Management
Demonstrated the ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, with frequent interruptions, and changing priorities in a dynamic and fluid working environment. Demonstrated record of dependability, availability, attendance, and punctuality.
Business Systems
Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) databases. Demonstrated experience with other LANL business systems such as Oracle and Ariba. Confluence experience preferred.
Communication
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills while interacting effectively with staff throughout the organization hierarchy and in partnership with internal support organizations. Proven record of effectively building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of staff to include customers and stakeholders. Grammatical proficiency, formatting, and editing capabilities expected at this level.
Leadership
Demonstrated mentoring and teaming skills. Utilization of tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with sensitive and in-confidence information.
Education and Experience
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications:
Weapons Experience
Knowledge of the laboratory mission and how ALDW supports the mission and knowledge of Laboratory structure and administrative policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory.
