The Acquisition Services Management - Supplier Management organization is seeking a Supplier Management Specialist to support the ongoing performance, development, and success of our supplier network. In this role, you will monitor supplier performance, help maintain strong supplier relationships, and identify opportunities to improve quality, delivery, cost, service, and overall value.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in procurement, supply chain, vendor management, or supplier performance who enjoys working cross-functionally and using data to drive supplier improvements.
The Supplier Management Specialist tasks may include:
- Track, analyze, and report on supplier performance metrics, including quality, safety, delivery, cost, service milestones, and compliance
- Support regular supplier reviews, performance meetings, and business review sessions
- Maintain positive working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Identify supplier performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to develop and monitor performance action plans
- Convey Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) expectations to suppliers
- Assist in evaluating supplier capabilities, performance trends, and long-term partnership potential
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, quality, finance, and other departments to resolve supplier-related issues
- Maintain accurate supplier records, scorecards, reports, and communication logs
- Contribute to supplier development initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability, and value

Supply Chain Competencies
- Familiarity with supplier performance processes, non-conformance reporting, corrective action processes, and performance management
- Experience tracking supplier KPIs, scorecards, or performance reporting
- Familiarity with contract management, supplier compliance, and continuous improvement practices
- Experience building supplier relationships while also holding suppliers accountable to performance expectations
Business Systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, MicroStrategy, and other project or inventory management tools
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of directly related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP-based contracting and ERP systems
- Knowledge of Department of Energy or National Nuclear Security Administration requirements

Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position is telework and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
