The Controller Division is looking to hire a highly motivated, dynamic, and customer-oriented Financial Systems Analyst 4 to join the Business Systems & Technology (CNTL-BST) Group. The chosen candidate will report to the CNTL-BST Group Leader and will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our critical business systems infrastructure. The candidate will also partner effectively with the IT Development team, while offering analytical and technical expertise in the development and support of the Laboratory's Oracle and other related applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management & Configuration: Ensure the effective operation of accounting and financial modules within Oracle ERP, configure and support related systems and issues, and maintain data integrity.
- User Support & Training: Provide end-user training, offer system expertise, and address technical issues.
- Testing & Upgrades: Plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; facilitate upgrades while maintaining security protocols.
- Collaboration & Consultation: Work closely with finance and technical teams to align system functionalities with business requirements.
- Policy & Compliance: Support the implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring systematic compliance with DOE/NNSA and federal financial regulations.
- Leadership: Provide leadership to peers and leads technology-related projects, oversee task plans, and resolve implementation challenges.
- Reporting & Metrics: Design and develop advanced financial reports and operational metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve production issues within established timelines.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of financial systems information technology theory, principles, techniques and software, and applying that knowledge to accounting and financial management as it relates to Oracle EBS applications and modules.
- Extensive experience analyzing complex financial reporting problems, developing strategies and creative reporting solutions in accordance with financial and accounting compliance.
- Demonstrated extensive expertise in testing and supporting new releases, upgrades, and developing functional design solutions, and managing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably Oracle Financials.
- Extensive experience in leading specialized projects and providing training for innovative solutions to highly complex problems, along with recommending and implementing effective courses of action.
- Extensive knowledge and experience troubleshooting and resolving system problems and issues both independently and as a team member by gathering information, analyzing data, and summarizing results with a proven ability of providing actionable analysis for decision making. Advanced expertise in accounting, financial concepts, and system integration.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences, coupled with exceptional interpersonal, written communication and verbal skills to engage with customers, staff, senior management, and stakeholders.
Education/Experience Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field and 12 years of relevant experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP implementation
- Experience working with Standard Query Language (SQL)
- Experience working with Agile project management concepts
- Experience supporting web based HRMS Payroll System
Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. Incentive Compensation Program: Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th. The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
