Neutrino Physics Postdoc Position

What You Will Do

The Physics Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory invites outstanding applicants for a postdoctoral position in the Neutrino Physics team of the Applied and Fundamental Physics Group (P-2) to work on the MicroBooNE, SBND, ProtoDUNE and DUNE experiments. LANL has leading roles in the short and long-baseline neutrino program. On the short-baseline program, the group plays a key role in the areas of neutrino oscillation, cross section and detector physics analyses in MicroBooNE and SBND. On DUNE, the group is involved in multiple efforts, including calibration and measuring neutron-argon cross sections using dedicted targets. Based on their interest, the selected candidate will work on either MicroBooNE/SBND or ProtoDUNE/DUNE in any of the above listed areas. The candidate must have or expect to complete soon a Ph.D. in physics, preferably in high energy particle or nuclear physics, and must be less than 5 years since the Ph.D. was granted. The postdoctoral term is for 2 years, with an option to renew for a third year.
