Minimum Job Requirements
NDA Systems: At least 5 years of professional level experience using one or more of the following NDA systems; passive/active neutron counters, tomographic gamma-scanning, far-field gamma spectroscopy, isotopic gamma-ray measurement systems, or calorimetry systems.
Statistical Methods: Demonstrated knowledge of statistical methods used for NDA data analysis methods.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong skills and initiative in organization, planning, teamwork, customer interactions, and interpersonal communications.
Job Performance: Demonstrated ability to work productively on multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Documentation of Work: Demonstrated ability to develop technical products such as journal papers and reports.
Compliance: Demonstrated experience in conducting scientific/engineering work while complying with ES&H requirements and using appropriate administrative controls, engineering controls, and personal protective equipment.
DOE 426.2: For this position DOE 426.2 requires a BS degree, 2 years job related experience and 1 year non-reactor nuclear experience for technical support personnel who perform work independently at nuclear facilities.
Education/Experience: Position requires a master's degree in nuclear Engineering or Physics from an accredited institution and 6 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level a Ph.D. may be preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
NDA Software: Experience using any of the following NDA data acquisition/analysis software; INCC, FRAM, Maestro, Program Isotopic, SNAP, Peak Easy, Peak Doctor, GADRAS, or ISOCS.
NDA Modeling: Experience using MCNP.
Software Languages: Fortran, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB
Education/Experience: A Master's or Doctorate degree in nuclear engineering or physics from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11. These requirements include on going drug and alcohol testing, as well as periodic medical and psychological evaluations.
426.2: This position is subject to DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, and Qualification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities, which establishes entry-level requirements to ensure candidates selected for specific positions can successfully perform the requirements of the job.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
