Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Weapons Mission Services Division's (WMS-DO) Programmatic Mission Support Services (WMS-3) group, you will use your skills and subject matter expertise to support training programs for one of the most important research institutions in the world. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement new processes, programs, supporting both small and large training projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize, schedule and manage registration and logistics for live courses
- Course scheduling, including managing and implementing complex, overlapping schedules
- Prepares and manages live course training materials (workbooks, pamphlets, supplies, etc.)
- Learning Management System Administration (training assignments, issuing credit, managing course registration, creating scheduled offerings, course management, running reports
- Effectively utilize data from multiple applications to collate information to support customer service
- Training Program implementation, administration, coordination, and planning

Computer Skills/Business Systems
Knowledge of business and operations systems and standard software applications (i.e. Microsoft and Adobe products). Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and provide guidance on use of LANL business systems (i.e. Oracle, UTrain, Issues Management, etc.). Ability to effectively manage multiple, overlapping software tools and applications.
Critical Thinking
Entry-level experience in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting facility operations and operational quality assurance.
Communication
Basic ability to conceptualize and communicate program requirements and detailed elements to both technical and non-technical personnel. Demonstrated skill with interpersonal, written, and verbal communications.
Customer Service
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide clear, concise support and guidance to others in sometimes stressful situations. Ability to interact professionally with all types of personnel, including external interfaces and executive management.
Education and Experience
- Must have earned an Associate's or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or international equivalent) within the last 3 years in an appropriate field,
- Must have graduated with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

- Interest and/or experience in adult learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an interest in learning within a mission-driven environment.

Work Location: Onsite/Hybrid: This position is located in Los Alamos, NM with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement (partially onsite/partially offsite) from a location within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite will be regularly required. Hybrid is at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
