Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks experienced professionals to join the Institutional Quality Performance Assurance - Plutonium Infrastructure Quality (IQPA-PIQ) group. This team supports modernization and construction at TA-55 within the Pajarito Security Corridor. Candidates should demonstrate strong construction quality expertise, in-depth knowledge of national QA standards, and proven success applying IQPA processes across ALDPI organizations. The role involves collaborating across teams to resolve challenges, recommending practical solutions to complex issues, ensuring regulatory and QA compliance, and representing management with customers.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. - Comprehensive technical knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, and turnover processes, including Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) and the graded approach in NQA-1 environments.
- Experienced in quality assessments, audits, surveillances, QA observations, and in developing and presenting findings or improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to address complex project challenges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver advanced technical reports.
- Effective at managing conflict, negotiating agreements, and fostering consensus and trust within diverse teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills for prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in construction quality with practical experience applying standards such as 10 CFR 830, ASME, ISO, and ANSI/ASME NQA-1 2008/2009a.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience using Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
- Experience in the manufacturing or fabrication sectors, with a solid understanding of quality principles.
- Technical knowledge of welding, NDE (LT, LP, UT, HeT) and experience with, construction and fabrication quality assurance/control activities including, but not necessarily limited to; all aspects of NQA-1 2008/2009A
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics with precision.
