We support a wide variety of programs with an emphasis on identifying creative solutions to meet our customer's needs. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively on both independent projects or as part of a team to assist on projects in a science-based prototype manufacturing environment. In general, you will be expected to fulfill the normal roles of a product or process engineer. Your work will span coordinating fabrication activities for one-off experiments, implementing novel manufacturing solutions for complex parts, and helping with hands-on work in metal forming.
R&D Engineer 1 ($96,600 - $158,000)
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with a variety of metals manufacturing research and development activities.
- Perform hands-on metals processing work.
- Work within integrated and cross-disciplinary teams to design and fabricate experimental metal components aligned with customer needs.
- Advance new fabrication concepts for engineering alloys for incorporation in production environments.
- Contribute to technical papers for publishing in peer-reviewed technical journals.
- Work with vendors to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and equipment in the facility.
Additional Job Duties for R&D Engineer 2 ($106,400-$176,000):
