The Program Office for the ERP Modernization initiative serves as the central hub for overseeing the successful implementation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation. The Program Office is responsible for coordinating all project activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with business objectives. It also manages risk, budget, and timeline adherence. Additionally, the office drives Organizational Change Management by facilitating stakeholder engagement, communication, and training to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new systems and processes across the organization. This position and all other Program Office roles will report to the Chief Information Officer.
As a Project-Program Director in the Program Office for the ERP Modernization initiative, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating all aspects of the project to ensure its successful delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the entire program lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing. You will develop and manage the program roadmap, ensuring that all workstreams are aligned with strategic objectives and timelines. You will also be responsible for managing the program's budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring that the project remains within financial constraints. Furthermore, you will manage resources within the Program Office, including an Organizational Change Manager and Project Manager. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, resolve issues, and mitigate risks that could impact the project's success. Additionally, you will provide regular status updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making. By maintaining focus on scope, schedule, and cost, you will ensure that the ERP modernization initiative is delivered on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Program Leadership: Extensive experience leading and directing Cloud Implementation programs, ensuring alignment with organization objectives and the successful delivery of program outcomes.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of modern ERP platforms with demonstrated experience leading cloud-based ERP implementations.
- Program Management: Proven ability to develop and manage comprehensive program roadmaps, including project planning, scheduling, and deliverables, while monitoring progress, assessing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Budget Management: Advanced expertise overseeing program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience building relationships and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure program goals are met.
- Team Management: Experience managing and supervising team members with a focus on performance management, fostering a positive team culture, and providing ongoing mentorship.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams from various areas, such as IT, Finance, HR, and external vendors, to achieve program goals.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of federal procurement, financial management, and compliance requirements.
- Experience building PMOs.
- Current PMP Certification
- Active DOE "Q" Clearance
Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Incentive Compensation Program: Position is eligible to participate in the Triad Incentive Compensation Program. You must be in an eligible position for a minimum of 3 months, before July 1st and remain in an eligible position as of the end of the fiscal year, September 30th. The annual distribution is prorated based on the number of months in the eligible position.
