What You Will Do
The Weapons Mission Services (WMS-DO) Division is looking for a dynamic facilities project leader. The facilities project leader will report into the New Employee Training and Workforce Development team that reports directly to the division office. In this role the candidate must successfully work with management from cross-functional organizations to lead and manage projects supporting the WMS-DO mission. The PL will serve as a liaison, coordinating with Leased Tenant Representatives, facility operations managers, division leaders, group leaders, first line managers to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient project outcomes. Additionally, the PL develops detailed work packages, managers facility project scope, and ensures alignment with programmatic objectives and customer requirement, while reporting statuses to facility Project Lead and other funding stake holders.
The selected candidate(s) will perform Project Leader activities for individually assigned projects in support of multiple multi-disciplinary programs in support of Weapons Production.
This position will be filled at either the Project Leader (PL) 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Project Leader 1 ($78,700-$125,100)
Leverage your facilities project leadership experience in support of the Weapons Mission Services (WMS-DO) Division in the vastly dynamic ALDWP environment. As a facilities project leader, you will contribute to a team of other project leaders to manage moderately complex project(s) by applying facilities knowledge and experience in developing project plans and work breakdown structures, negotiating work packages, and assigning various aspects of work to complete project deliverables. Your responsibilities will include successful completion of facilities project(s) within the approved scope, schedule, and budget. Projects may include cross-organizational and cross-disciplinary stakeholders and team members. As a PL you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with P315, Conduct of Operations Manual for assigned facilities.
Project Leader 2 ($94,500-$154,600)
In addition to the duties outlined above, as a seasoned PL2 you will work independently, effectively represent and effectively represent or lead integrated project teams on behalf of the WMS-DO other meetings and provide guidance to customers and other team members.

What You Need
Project Leader Minimum Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of and experience with facility management, including facility systems design and facility maintenance, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, construction projects, and minor upgrades and minor renovations. Experience in overseeing small-sized project team(s) in the planning, tracking and reporting, and execution of project plans from initiation to completion. This includes integrating project work with competing priorities and commitments including safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, contractor assurance, and business imperatives.
- Experience identifying potential project risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions, and recommending risk acceptance/avoidance for all aspects of the project(s).
- Experience in project management frameworks, including developing project plans, work breakdown structures, work packages, risk identification, and mitigation strategies. This encompasses managing to scope, schedule, budget, and baselines; and documenting baseline reports and change control actions.
- Experience in developing and nurturing effective internal and external customer/stakeholder relationships. This includes the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel; building trust, gaining consensus, define expectations, plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion, collaboratively solve problems, and resolving conflicts.
- Proficiency in common software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Teams.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver clear and concise written and oral communication, work independently and in a team setting to deliver outstanding customer service.
Additional Job Requirements for Project Leader 2:
In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires:
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with facilities management/leased spaced including facility systems design and facility maintenance, safety/authorization basis, configuration management programs, work control, facility control systems, major construction projects, and upgrades and renovations. Experience and advanced knowledge in all aspects of project management frameworks, including managing to scope, schedule, budget, baselines. Documenting baseline reports and change control actions.
- Significant experience in developing and nurturing effective internal and external customer/stakeholder relationships. This includes the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and take a leadership role when building trust, gaining consensus, define expectations, plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion, collaboratively solve problems, and resolving conflicts.
- Significant experience and advanced proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, Visio, and MS Office Suite.

- Able to adapt communication style to interact within different levels of the organization.
- Ability to utilize and manipulate computerized maintenance management and work control software to create, track, update, and develop reports for work within assigned facilities.
