What You Will Do
The Testing Development and Structural Analysis team is seeking a motivated and innovative post-bachelor's intern and research engineer to contribute to the development of advanced methods in structural dynamics.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers to design, analyze, and implement new modeling, simulation, and testing techniques that improve the understanding and prediction of structural behavior under dynamic loading conditions. On a given day, depending on your skills and interests, you may be running experiments to characterize test assemblies and equipment capabilities, analyzing data to update and improve control law, or running simulations to inform test design and predict responses. Whatever the activity of the day, you will be mentored by experts committed to fostering your growth as an independent researcher and helping you build a strong foundation in structural dynamics and computational engineering.

Work Location: The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. - Coding experience (MATLAB or Python preferred)
- Experience with engineering experimentation
